What stays on your phone
- Your garden: the crops you grow, missions you complete, check-in answers, milestones and harvest counts.
- Progress photos you take or pick for check-ins and the space check. They’re saved inside the app and never uploaded by Huerta.
- Your setup: the space, light, experience and time you told us about.
We don’t have a copy of any of this. Garden › Your space › Start over deletes it, and so does deleting the app.
Location
If you allow it during setup, Huerta reads your approximate location once to work out your climate and hemisphere, so it can tell you what to plant and when. To show the name of your city, iOS looks it up with Apple’s geocoding service. Huerta keeps only the city name, climate and hemisphere on your phone, never your coordinates. You can skip this and pick your climate by hand.
The space check uses your phone’s compass to tell which way your balcony faces. That reading isn’t stored or sent anywhere.
Camera and photos
Used only when you take or choose a progress photo. Saving a “growth story” image to your library happens only when you choose Save Image.
Notifications
Check-in and trial reminders are scheduled on your phone. No push server is involved.
Huerta Plus subscriptions
Payments are handled by Apple; we never see your card or Apple ID details. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier created by the app, your purchase and subscription history, your device model, iOS and app version, country/currency and IP address. It isn’t linked to your name or email. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or share your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- We don’t use analytics or crash-reporting services.
Children
Huerta isn’t directed to children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect their information.
Your rights
Because your garden data lives only on your device, you control it directly. For anything related to subscription data held by RevenueCat, including access or deletion requests, write to us and we’ll handle it with them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, let you know in the app.
